Welcome to our first Newsletter

CYLAN (Community Learning & Networking) Foundation is a charity developed to support families in local communities.  The work of the Organisation focuses on developing and maintaining literacy for children through parental involvement.  The Foundation uses a number of programs and services to engage, support and involve parents in making a difference in the lives of not only their children but others in the community.

The Organization was created to honour to all the parents who have encouraged, supported and dedicated their time to the education and development of their children . this is also in memory of Mr Alan Luckhoo and Mrs Cyrone Luckhoo nee Jhingoree, this organisation is also dedicated to the  who feel that family is very important and therefore CYLAN Foundation is based on these same value structures.

Needy families and individuals in local communities are a product of poor education, school drop outs and other issues that contribute to unemployment, low wages, domestic violence or divorce.  While all of us are susceptible to hard times children are most at risk of low education attainment, low esteem and leadership.

Together, we will be able to help many of these families and individuals not only to meet essential daily needs, but to work towards a brighter future with programs in job training, education, counselling, elderly assistance, and parenting support.   We provide programs paid and unpaid that will make a difference in the lives of others, encourage participation, build self-esteem and a bright future for children and families.
